“It has been a very special and emotional day for me. Being able to celebrate my 40 World Championship titles in this way, in Barcelona and surrounded by so many fans, is something I will never forget. I want to thank Honda, HRC, to our sponsors for their support over all these years, and the entire team for organising such an incredible event, as well as the city of Barcelona for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to bring trial closer to the public. Honda has also surprised me with a very special gift, a unique car, and I couldn’t be more grateful. After so many years together, experiencing moments like this is incredible. I will always have wonderful memories of this day, and I hope all the fans enjoyed it as much as I did.”
